Cherry Picking

After our visit to the Winery we went cherry picking. The winery is on the same road as cherry, peach, apricot and apple orchards. It was great to be outside and doing something as a family. Sarah loved running around the trees and unlimited eating. Eating your fill for free has got to be the best perk of picking your own fruit, the price is also much better at just $1.75 lb.

Sarah loved carrying the basket and eating the fruit. She still hasn't learned how to spit out the pits, so there should be some interesting diaper changes ahead.

Little monkey

The trees were loaded and getting on the over ripe side. This was actually my first time picking cherries.

Always had a mouth full

Our basket and tummys are full

As we were leaving the owners of the farm told us about a nest in one of the trees. I got some great pics of this little family in the tree. I don't think I've ever seen a bird nest so low in a tree.

Ooohh...I LOVE cherries. We just paid an exorbitant amount for a small bag of them at the grocery store yesterday because I just couldn't resist any longer.
