Helicopter Ride Over Niagara Falls

This morning Rebecca, Anna and I took a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls. This Christmas we all opted out of buying traditional gifts and shared memories together instead. Wonderful! The helicopter ride was amazing, sure to be a memory that will never be forgotten. The view was spectacular!

Heading over the falls.

We tried to go up on the helicopter the last few days but the clouds were always too low for flying. The other day all looked good but by the time we got there it wasn't flyable anymore. Oh well, us girls headed to Starbucks where we warmed up before walking down to the falls (first time for Anna) where it was freezing cold. I've truly enjoyed my sister time these past few weeks!

Lots of love to you girls! Thank you for sharing in so many great memories with me.

Siblings Dinner out at Brasa

Tonight Michael and Rebecca took us out to a newer restaurant in the falls called Brasa. It's a Brazillian steak house. The guachos walk around serving you pieces of meat or roasted pineapple with brown sugar and cinnamon ...so good. Next on the list, how to recreate the pineapple, it was delicious! There was also a buffet of over 70 items to eat with the meal. Let's just say we had a great time and ate A LOT!

Another Free Photo Book

ShoppersPhoto.Ca is offering their 20-page 7x9 softcover photobook for free until Jan. 2, 2011. Simply enter coupon code PHOTO at checkout. This would be perfect for those special holiday photos that we've taken. I was able to take advantage of this freebie last month and thought it turned out pretty decent. Store pick-up will occur from Jan. 10, 2011 or later.

Merry Christmas!

This Christmas we have been so blessed to have Anna stay with us and Michael and Rebecca visiting. It's so... good to have family here! We ended up opening gifts just before lunch on Christmas eve, then it was lunch time, nap time and then Christmas dinner. We all went to the Christmas eve service together as well, which was really special.

Sarah was pretty excited to open presents. Christmas with kids is much more fun! The kids were both spoiled with gifts, resulting in two overwhelmed and overstimulated little kids. Today we went to Rebecca's relatives for Christmas as well. By the end of today the kids were both very tired.

Sarah all wrapped up in her Dora blanket from Michael and Rebecca.

More gifts from Nursery School.

Sarah was so excited about her talking Dora doll from Auntie Anna. She's taken it to sleep both nights and wakes up with it by her side.

Hope you had a blessed Christmas with family and friends too.

Sarah's Nursery School Program

Singing in the Christmas program.

What's going on??? She all of the sudden wants to sit on Santa's lap...and isn't crying.

Oh Calvin!

He loves drinking from cups.
Calvin loves Sarah's panties. Actually he loves her Dora panties; we think it's because of the lovely wide satin tag. Whatever the reason, he would rather carry around a pair of panties than his blankie. Funny boy.
He always seems to have a different expression.

She's a Big Girl Now!

It is with great joy that I say... Sarah is potty trained! We've been working at this since summer but for whatever reason the whole pooping on the potty thing just wasn't happening. She now loves to go on the potty for both #1 and #2. The last few days she hasn't wanted to wear a pull up for naps either and has been accident free! So I suppose the next step is getting her to go through the night without a pullup... eeks! I know there will still be accidents but it's so much better. I must admit that I've been enjoying changing less diapers. Now I just spend a chunk of the day sitting in the washroom with her, oh well.

First Haircuts

Both of our kids had their first hair cut yesterday. It was so... time! Calvin's hair was getting so long in the back and Sarah's ends weren't so pretty anymore. There's a hair salon a few doors over from the post office that we frequent, so it was nice and handy. Both kids did so good! Calvin just needed his sucker every so often to make him sit still.

Then it was Sarah's turn. Anna and I were so surprised how good she was. Considering how squirmy Sarah normally is, it was amazing how well she sat still. I think she was a little confused about the whole experience.
