Auntie Rebecca Brings the Ambulance Over

On Tuesday Rebecca brought the ambulance for a visit. They were inbetween calls in Surrey and had a little extra time.  We were thrilled to spend some time checking out the inside of the ambulance and seeing how all the buttons worked.   Love you auntie Becca!

The kids LOVED pretending they were driving the ambulance!

Rain is Fun

You can run in it, jump in it and get wet.  It's also great since you get to wear your boots, rain jackets and use your umbrellas.  It rains a lot here.  I'm glad that my kids like the rain.  I don't love the laundy afterwards, but that just seems to be part of what being a mom is all about.  So I continue to try to embrace the chaos (and laundry), have fun, play with my kids and take a few photos to remember the moments.

Strawberry Picking

This morning I met up with my mom at Krause Berry Farm in Langley for some Strawberry picking.  We managed to get three buckets of berries, not bad for having three kids along.  It was about the experience, not actually getting a lot of berries.  We all had a great time!  There is a play area for the kids and petting zoo, which the kids enjoyed.  They also have an amazing store and eatery with tasty baked berry goods.  Are you going berry picking this year?

Bubble Bath for Lauren

This past weeks photo club challenge was bubbles.  I took Lauren outside and had some fun with her and the little wash basin.  She loved it and I got some decent pics.  I submitted the fourth pic as my favourite bubble pic.

7 Months

Pure joy she is.  Sitting, standing, crawling, eating solids, smiling, laughing.  Pure joy.

Thoughtful

I had an idea for a photo while Sarah was watching cartoons.  I loved how the image turned out.  I'm trying to be more intentional when taking photos.  This week I've been thinking a lot about how to take photos that create emotion and are more captivating.  I love how black and white images are able to help create this emotion and sense of drama.

London Bridges Falling Down

A few more pics from yesterday's visit to Oma and Opa's house.  The kids were playing London Bridges with Oma.  Pure sweetness.  Not amazing shots by any means, but I love the moment captured.

And of course the green chair has to make another appearance.  Classic.

Lauren and her Great Oma

Today the kids and I had lunch with my Oma and Opa.  I brought my camera just in case there was a moment to capture.  In the craziness of the kids running around and being much too loud, I snapped a few photos of Oma and Lauren.  I know that I will always treasure these pics.  I love my Oma's natural smile and big laugh.  These are the kind of moments that I hold on to.  This is the way that I want to always remember my Oma, smiling, laughing and full of joy. My Oma is truly a beautiful woman, inside and out.
