Wine Bottles in the Garden

Before I get the question I thought I should answer it. It's what all of our neighbours were peering over the fences asking us a couple of weeks ago. Why do you have wine bottles in your garden? Well, the answer is because we needed something to mark the rows when we were planting and didn't have any small marker sticks. So David went into the garage and all he could find was wine bottles, voila!

Our neighbours thought we knew some special trick for helping our garden grow and wanted to get in on the action. People here seem to be very competitive in their garden growing (and tomato sauce).

I think you should have come up with a little story about how the wine slowly trickles down into the roots and makes the plant flourish. That would get them thinking
I bet all the neighbors would be in on the action!
