Catholic Street Parade

So yesterday, I'm talking on the phone to Rachel when I hear what sounds like a marching band outside. I look out the front window, and sure enough, there's a small marching band, people holding flags and then a whole lot more people walking behind. You have to understand that we live on a quiet resedential street and so this seems particularly odd. The strange thing is that this is the second parade the Catholic church has had down our street since we moved here. The first one was to celebrate the immaculate conception of Mary (it was front page of the local newspaper). Who knows what this parade was to celebrate?
Notice the people ahead holding the flags. Sadly, I was too late to take a pic of the marching band and leader up front.
The congregation following behind.
The priests wheeling the mini float with the statue on top. Not sure who the saint is?
The group of nuns that followed behind the priests. The nuns were chanting something, don't know what.

The question is, when will the next parade be?

How strange! And yet entertaining as well. :)
