Last week we had planned on going out for lunch to celebrate Chinese New Year. However, by the time we got Sarah's passport stuff taken care of there just wasn't enough time. So today David came home for lunch and we decided to head to the Mandarin Buffet. Buffets and all you can eats are much more popular in Ontario than in BC, probably because they taste a lot better. The Mandarin (a big chain restaurant in Ontario) has lots of Chinese food, a full sushi buffet and roast beef/ potatoes buffet, not to mention lots of dessert. I thought I would take a few photos to show you what I mean. I felt a little funny taking these photos but David was encouraging and insisted that I take them. All for the good of the blog.
What you see here is just the Chinese food, two full tables on both sides.
The roast beef, etc is at the end and the sushi is at the front of the picture.
Ice cream on the left and all the rest is dessert and some fruit. There's lots more dessert around the corner too. I didn't include pics of the huge salad bar and soup, bread selections.
The front of the restarant has a waterfall, rocks, pond. All of the fish were so friendly today.
Little Sarah checking out fortune cookies for the first time. It's amazing how long we can keep her happy with just a spoon and some Cheerios.
