Making Ice Wine

This is what my husband does for fun. This afternoon David and two friends from school went out in the freezing cold to the vineyard to pick frozen grapes to make ice wine. Back in November they put netting over about 200 ft of vines to ward off the birds and preserve their precious grapes.

After several hours the guys returned to press the grapes in our garage. The juice tasted incredibly sweet and very yummy! As you can see it was even snowing outside. Brr...so cold!
