On Saturday we drove across the river to go to the outlet mall for something to do. We didn't buy much, just a couple of shirts for Sarah and some super cute boots for when she's a little bigger. We still hadn't gone for wings in Buffalo, so before we left home I had checked the internet for some tips. A place called Duffs seemed to be the most recommended, so we figured we would check it out. It was a small not so pretty restaurant with a packed parking lot and line at the door (always a good sign). Well the wings were fantastic and we will indeed be going back sometime. So many of the restaurants here are so different from back west. Many restuarants seem to specialize in a few things, keeping their menu small. There's almost a cafeteria style to the restaurants, cheap (sometimes disposable) plates, etc and fast, easy clean up. This resturant pretty much just serves wings, fries, and about 5 other menu items. The wings are what keep people coming back. The idea seems to work since the resturant has been around since the 50's.
The above picture makes me laugh since you can see Sarah's little fingers reaching out for my wings just as I was taking the picture. No wings for her, just a few french fries which she loved!
Looking so grown up.
Thought I would include this picture as well. Sarah's fingers seem to have grown while we were on vacation. She always sucks her two fingers when she's getting sleepy but now her index finger seems to have no where to go but in her nose. Such an efficient little girl, sucking her fingers and picking her nose at the same time. She loves her big car seat and it's so much nicer for us to be able to turn around and see her so easily.
